• PEP has its commitment to preserving and protecting vital natural resource. We take pride in its focus on responsible manufacturing and recycling through the implementation of the following activities, as well as a continued effort to identify and implement new environmental saving activities.
• Utilize Lumber suppliers committed to the application of advanced forest management.
• Contributor and supporter of the International Wood Products Association¡¯s C.U.R.E. program.
• Utilize completely non-solvent powder coatings, eliminating emissions and reducing the amount of hazardous materials.
• Harzardous waste elimination program in wood manufacturing facilities.
• Table factory recycles finish material hazardous waste into clean solvent used for clean up.
• Foundry utilizes a smokeless electric furnace, totally eliminating atmospheric discharges.
• Table bases are produced from recycled engine blocks.
• Where applicable, packing materials are entirely either biodegradable or recycled, containing no styrene products; paper and cardboard waste is recycled.
• Where possible, utilize raw materials produced from recycled products.
• Table top particle board composed of wood and sawdust derived from waste obtained from manufacture plants and facilities.
• Laminates are glued using water-based compounds.
• Fume extractors installed in welding operation, eliminating fumes and improving working conditions for employees.
• Sawdust collection systems are continually upgraded and expanded, creating a cleaner, healthier working environment.
